Gameplay

Gameplay retains its core 2D mechanics, with the 3DS visuals more or less being on par with GameCube's Melee and the Wii U version being considerably better. One mechanic Sakurai has removed from Super Smash Bros. is Tripping, a controversial balancing mechanic inserted into Brawl to add an element of randomness to battles.
